Here is Baseball 3000, one of the most interesting books ever published involving our national game. It's a collection of science fiction short stories centered on baseball. It includes a tale by Frederick Pohl as well as Rod Serling's "The Mighty Casey," made famous on The Twilight Zone.

Longtime River Cats radio broadcaster Johnny Doskow is going to “the Show.”Doskow, entering his 12th season as the River Cats’ play-by-play man, will call games for the A’s while Ken Korach recovers from knee replacement surgery earlier this month.
In 19 seasons of calling professional baseball, Doskow has worked nearly 3,000 minor league games.
