I have known too many people who have been through variation's of what RA Dickey has been through - some w/not happy endings. It is uplifting when I hear of someone who not only made it, but also went on to enrich other's lives ...

In a raw new memoir, Mets pitcher R.A. Dickey reveals that he was sexually abused as an eight-year-old, and later lived with so much anger and shame that he contemplated suicide just a few years before signing with the Mets.
