Another Record For Jim Thome's Hall Plaque
Jim Thome has 609 career home runs. The last of those was a walk-off against the Rays on Friday night, the 13th walkoff homer of Thome's career.
That set a new major-league record. The former record holders, with 12, Hall of Famers all: Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Stan Musial, and Frank Robinson.
