Some baseball thoughts....

Some Baseball Thoughts ...   Some baseball questions on a beautiful, wintry Christmas day:   It runs through my mind, how many ballplayers today use steroids?   Are the ballplayers today better than those of other eras?   Will Mike Stanton hit 50 home runs in 2012?   Will Stephen Strasburg win 20 games this year?   How good is Yoenis Cespedis?  Yu Darvish?   Who will be the comeback player of the year in 2012?   Who is presently the best player in the game?   Can a lifetime Cardinal fan & a lifetime Cub fan build a meaningful relationship together?   If so, what are some good ideas for the Cardinal fan to be supportive of the Cub fan?  Ha Ha ...   That's all I have for today baseball friends. Until next time, so long everybody ...   Lee [ Cowboy ]   Ps/If any of you have any ideas &/or ideas for an article or story for '' Cowboy's Baseball, '' please don't hesitate to share ...   Pss/Please have a lookout for my future articles on Ryan Braun & Mike Stanton ...

  1. Hey Lee, It is so great to see that you are now blogging about baseball. You have shared so many wonderful stories and spot on insights with me. I am sure others will want to join the conversation.

As to the interpersonal relationship between a Cardinals fan and a Cubs fan. The Cubs fan should be left alone to dream big, especially since Theo Epstein is now in charge of culture change in the Cubs organization. The Cardinals fan should be quietly happy that he is not a Cubs fan.

  2. Deb,

Theo will probably continue the Cubs record of mismanagement including poor free agent signings like Alfonso Soriano. His main signing with the Red Sox,JD Drew, Daisuke and John Lackey, didn't work out as planned. His best FA signing was Marcus Scutero. Theo made some great trades (e.g. Adrian Gonzalez) but his FA signings were garbage. Plus the Sox farm system doesn't have any blue chip prospects.
