# 5 Carlos ''CarGo'' Gonzalez ...

Final post for this Saturday ... Please scroll down & enjoy the other 6 Saturday posts ... Have a Fantastic Day!!!

While Matt Holliday continues to play great baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals, this story is about an elite ballplayer who plays tremendously both offensively and defensively. It's about a ballplayer who is worth the price of admission whether he's in the batters box, in the outfield, or in a media interview. I believe that CarGo will once again vie for the NL MVP. I believe as well, that he will garner his 2nd Gold Glove and crush Major League pitching in 2012; playing left field only will contribute greatly to this prediction. Additionally, it has been noted from several different sources that he has been very serious w/his offseason.

Carlos Gonzalez began to excite Rockies fans and fans of baseball in general towards the end of 2009. He continued both to excite & excel in the 2009 postseason w/a .588 NLDS batting average. He followed that up in 2010 w/a batting title, a Silver Slugger Award, and a Gold Glove Award. He legitimately pushed for a NL MVP with the following stats: .336 BA, .376 OBP, .598 SLG., .974 OPS, 34 HR, 34 DB, 117 RBI, 111 RS, and 26 SB. His wOBA was .416 and his WAR was 6.5. [I'm not buying his WAR stat which is comparatively low & purportedly is substantiated by his poor defense?? This would be a story for another day.] As we know, CarGO had some struggles last year due to injuries, etc. Nonetheless, his season ending stats bode well for the future of this 5 tool ballplayer: .295BA, .363 OBP, .526 SLG., .889 OP, .383 wOBA, 26 HR, 27 DB, 92 RBI, 92 RS, and 20 SB in only 481 AB's.

# 5 Is a complete  ballplayer, he is tremendously exciting, he leads by example, and to any true fan of the game of baseball he is worth the price of admission. Go CarGo!  Go Rockies!  Swing and a Long One! ...

Until next time, so long everybody ...
