Yeah, You Would Think That.
Tuesday night, Tim McClelland umpired his 4,000th MLB game.
Somehow, he still managed to (initially) call Jeff Francoeur out on this bizarre play (which includes a lovely bit of work from the brilliant Austin Jackson).
McClelland's crew did eventually get the call right. Sort of. But both managers argued, adding five or six minutes to the proceedings. Afterward, McClelland said, "You would think a guy with 4,000 games would have enough experience not to do that."
