This is the senior picture of Ted Williams , from the 1937 Dias Cardinales yearbook of Herbert Hoover High School in San Diego. Williams was already thriving in the Pacific Coast League by this time so we can probably assume that, while he didn't play in the majors until he was 20, he could have functioned in the bigs at a Bryce Harperian level as early as 17.
