Mark Trumbo falls in derby 'swing off' to Jose Bautista
Bautista will face Prince Fielder in the Home Run Derby finals.

The Angels' Mark Trumbo put on a power display but was undone in the All-Star Home Run Derby in the dreaded "swing off."
Trumbo tied with Toronto’s Jose Bautista for second place in Monday’s semifinals in Kansas City and had a special five-swing contest to see who would join Detroit’s Prince Fielder in the final.
Trumbo hit a home run in only his fifth and last swing; Bautista advanced when he then hit his second homer with his third swing.
In the semifinals, Trumbo hit such impressive shots you had to be concerned ESPN’s bombastic announcer Chris Berman was going to injure his voice trying to describing them. Or hope so, anyway.
Trumbo hit seven homers in the first round that averaged 426 feet a shot. He hit six in the semifinals before the swing off, and they averaged 446 feet.
Bautista, who led everyone with 11 home runs in the first round, hit only two in the semis to set up the swing off.
Fielder barely snuck into the semis, hitting only five homers in the first round, but unloaded in the second round. He crushed 11 homers, including four that landed in the fountains beyond right field.
