Zack Greinke, Iron Man
Zack Greinke was ejected from Saturday’s game after four pitches. So the Brewers started him again on Sunday, and with four days’ rest they’re starting him again when the season resumes Friday; thus he’ll start three consecutive team games.
That hasn’t happened in 95 years; the White Sox’ Red Faber was the last to do it, in 1917.
Different era, different use of pitchers, still a cool bit of history.
