It is snowing again here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It is cold and it is beautiful. Even as winter remains here in the mountains, spring training is right around the corner. Spring training is the time of year when hope springs eternal for every team, every player, and every fan of the game of baseball. Will hope turn into reality for:
Kansas City Royals: Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas, Alex Gordon, Jeff ''The Final'' Francouer
Washington Nationals: Stephen Strasburg, Bryce Harper, Ryan Zimmerman, Gio Gonzalez,
Miami Marlins: Mike Stanton, Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Gaby Sanchez, Logan Morrison
I believe that at the very least these teams are ready to play some exciting baseball in 2012. Each of these teams now have much more than just the players mentioned. They all have solid pitching staffs right down to their set up men and their closers. Each team has some thump in their lineups as well.
Each of these teams have exciting ballplayers. I would absolutely go to a ballgame to see Eric Hosmer play. He has even at his young age created for himself the reputation for being clutch. Jeff Francouer shed 25 lbs last year and plays the game w/great ferver again; worth the price of admission, if someone tries to run on his arm ... / I believe that anyone who loves baseball would walk into the ballpark to see Strasburg pitch or Zimmerman glove a ball ... / Jose Reyes is electric and Mike Stanton, I believe, may very well become the best player of his era ...
I have just barely touched the surface of what these three teams may bring to MLB in 2012. Maybe, at a later time, I will have opportunity to go more in depth with their potential. For now I offer that hope springs eternal for these three ball clubs as Spring Training approaches. Spring Training is right around the corner and I am so-o excited! ...
