Tim Hudson Returning To Atlanta Braves Sunday
The Atlanta Braves were expecting Tim Hudson back in late April or early May from surgery to relieve a herniated disc, so this isn't much of a surprise:
But the big question had to do with how they were going to make room for him. The Braves had a full rotation and a couple of prospects waiting in the wings, so making room for Hudson wasn't going to be the easiest decision in the world. Randall Delgado, who replaced Hudson in the interim, hasn't pitched well. But Jair Jurrjens really hasn't pitched well, so he's the one who will go to AAA to make room for Hudson's return.
Hudson threw 215 innings last season after throwing 228 in 2010. He had two straight injury-marred seasons before that, but he's been a consistent workhorse over most of his 13-year career. This is the first tim
