A few months ago, Jose Quintana was a minor-league free agent. The White Soxsigned him. Quintana wasn't ranked among the White Sox' top 30 prospects by Baseball America. Wasn't close to being ranked among the White Sox' top 30 prospects.
Wednesday, he lowered his ERA to 2.04 and ran his record to 4-1 with eight excellent innings to beat the Rangers.
