Against the Rays on Monday, Daniel Bard finished with more walks than innings. That’s the bad part. Here’s the good part: through two starts, batters have attempted 91 swings against Bard. 32 of those swings – 35 percent – have missed. The league average would be closer to 20 percent. Bard’s been a little bit wild, but also a little bit unhittable.
